The ASU-Beebe Computerized Machining Program recently received a grant of $5,000 from the Gene Haas Foundation.
This is the fourth grant that ASU-Beebe has received from the Haas Foundation. This funding will be used for scholarships, National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certification testing and to help defer costs for students to attend the national SkillsUSA competition.
Carey Beevers, Haas Sales Manager for Arkansas/West Tennessee, made the presentation.
Since 1999, the Gene Haas Foundation has awarded more than 1200 grants to organizations and schools to be used for manufacturing education and students entering CNC machinist training.
